Disappointingly Dissastifying Ending

Since there is no Season 2 for Hot Stove League, I would say that the ending of the drama is disappointingly dissatisfying.

Beautiful and solid story line that keep me invested and engaged.

Strong and captivating main character, Baek Seung Soo who inspires me to learn about human colourful characters and my character (weakness and strength) too.

Unfortunately, the ending utterly frustrates me because the main character suffers the same ending like a loop in all the sports club he successfully builds up.

Hot Stove League and Start-Up are good Korean dramas with poor ending.

How could they leave the hero tragically helpless in the end.

I feel hopeless.

Episode 12: Hot Stove League

I cried in Episode 12 when Yoo Min Ho was in the room with Baek Young Soo (and other staff whom he did not expect).

All of them was concerned about him not being able to perform as he was dealing with physical 'yips' which could be caused by psychological crisis in particular self-doubt.

It was heartbreaking for Yoo Min Ho.

It was heartwarming when Baek Young Soo tackled the situation with gentleness to motivate him.

The staff was encouraging and sensitive too towards him and I can feel their sincerity and concern.

This scene made me cry.

Episode 5: Hot Stove League

I am crying (unexpectedly) in episode 5 of Hot Stove League.

The silent struggle of Gil Chang Ju or Robert Gil as one of the characters in the drama.

In the first place, Baek and the operation team duo was in America to scout for foreign talent.

Somehow, both foreign talents were taken by other teams - Pelicans and Vikings.

Eventually, the plot twist is unexpectedly a blessing!

Episode 1: Hot Stove League

Namkoong Min's top-notch acting in My Dearest led me to binge-watch these dramas:

(1) The Girl Who Sees Scents / Smells (Namkoong Min as a charming chef as well as a meticulous serial killer)

(2) Beautiful Gong Shim (Namkoong Min as an empathetic lawyer for ordinary people)

(3) Doctor Prisoner (Namkoong Min as a strategically intelligent doctor)

(4) Hot Stove League (Namkoong Min as a reform-driven general manager of a last-placed baseball team)

Episod 1: The Girl Who Sees Scents / A Girl Who Sees Smells

Oleh sebab aku suka pelakon wanita ini iaitu Shin Se Kyung (sejak drama High Kick 2) dan aku suka pelakon lelaki ini iaitu Namkoong Min (sejak drama Beautiful Gong Shim dan terkini ialah drama My Dearest), aku memilih untuk menonton drama Korea bertajuk A Girl Who Sees Smells. 

Namun, Netflix memberikan tajuk The Girl Who Sees Scents untuk drama Korea ini.

Aku sedang menonton episod 1.

Persahabatan Gil Chae dan Eun Ae serta persahabatan Hye Jin dan Mi Seon

Indahnya persahabatan dua orang gadis yang kemudian menjadi wanita dan isteri.

Persahabatan antara Gil Chae dan Eun Ae dalam drama My Dearest terlalu berharga.

Perwatakan mereka berbeza.

Bahkan, boleh dikatakan bahawa mereka mempunyai lebih banyak perbezaan daripada persamaan.

Namun, kasih sayang, ketulusan dan kesetiaan antara mereka bak sepasang adik-beradik dalam menghadapi pancaroba penjajahan kerajaan Qing sebenarnya membuktikan bahawa mereka saling memerlukan dan saling melengkapi.

Subhanallah.

Alangkah indahnya persahabatan seperti itu.

Meskipun, pada hakikatnya Gil Chae ada menaruh perasaan cemburu terhadap Eun Ae dan merancang perkara yang tidak diingini semata-mata untuk mendapatkan perhatian Nam yang mencintai Eun Ae, situasi kalut penjajahan telah mendewasakan Gil Chae dan semakin meneguhkan persahabatan kedua-dua gadis ini.

Inilah persahabatan yang bernilai dan indah dalam drama My Dearest.

Persahabatan mereka mengingatkan daku kepada drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha yang juga memaparkan persahabatan dua orang wanita yang erat iaitu Hye Jin dan Mi Seon.

Rewatching My Dearest

I am rewatching My Dearest since yesterday.

Apparently, My Dearest consisted of Part 1 and 2.

Part 1 is from episode 1 to 10.

Episode 10 ended miserably.

After so much of heart-warming moments and loving kindness from Lee throughout the 10 episodes, it is heart-breaking to witness Gil Chae's rejection after rejection and eventually her making a choice to marry someone else.

There were miscommunication and misunderstanding between them in Part 1 and it was unresolved.

Apparently, Gil Chae is unsure, lack trusts and insecure of Lee and evidently, it is valid because right from the start, Lee seems to be someone mysterious with a not-so-nice reputation from hearsays and their communication. 

I can truly understand Gil Chae decision to not run away with Lee.

However, the decision is heart-breaking one for Lee who has always been sincerely in love with her.
